Winter tour on Triglav with sunrise

A little after midnight we start from Krma. The full moon shines pleasantly on our path and after just an hour of walking we put on crampons because of the icy path. It is not cold, which makes us a little worried about how it will be at the top. Already below Prgarca the snow is not holding in some places. Fortunately it is getting colder and the walking is more pleasant. We tackle the last slope and reach the Triglavski dom on Kredarica. We take some time for a warm tea and a rest, then we equip ourselves for the summit of Triglav. The steps are just right, it is nice to climb with ice axes. Higher up on the ridge there is a steel cable outside and it comes in handy for helping with our hands. When we reach the top, it is already day and the sky is slowly brightening. We look into the distance at the magically colored sky when the first rays of sunlight appear. When you stand on the top of Slovenia's highest mountain and look at the golden red and orange colors mixing with the whiteness of the peaks, you have the feeling that you are somewhere in a fairy tale, everything becomes truly otherworldly. We are not bothered by the cold or the wind, because you can just stand and watch the sky change into a new day. The warm rays of the sun remind us that we still have a demanding descent to Kredarica, where we have to be careful with every step. You cannot afford to make mistakes. And only in the valley do you feel tired after a sleepless night. That's when you realize that you have experienced something special, some magic of this world that will remain in your memory forever.
